Risk invaded American game nights in 1959, adapted from a French film director's game of global conquest. The premise — amass armies, roll dice, and conquer the entire world one continent at a time — is simple; the consequence is six-hour games, shattered alliances, and at least one player rage-quitting after losing Australia.
