About
As of 2026, it's 49 years old.
Three's Company built an entire long-running sitcom on a single, delightfully flimsy premise: a man pretends to be gay so a suspicious landlord will let him share an apartment with two women. From there it ran on pure farce — pratfalls, misheard conversations, and a misunderstanding-per-minute engine that never once stopped.
John Ritter's gift for physical comedy turned every doorway and coffee table into a hazard, and the whole thing was as light and silly as television gets.
Farcical, breezy, and gloriously dumb, Three's Company is the show where every plot is just two people overhearing half a sentence and panicking.
