About
As of 2026, it's 55 years old.
Weebles wobbled onto the scene in 1971: egg-shaped little figures with weighted, rounded bottoms that tilt wildly when pushed but stubbornly refuse to topple. The slogan — 'Weebles wobble but they don't fall down' — is one of the all-time great toy jingles, and it described the physics perfectly.
The genius was that you literally could not knock them over, which was hilarious to toddlers and gave them a self-righting world of playsets, treehouses, and vehicles. The defiance of gravity never got old.
Wobbly, weighted, and gloriously un-knockoverable, Weebles are the toys whose entire personality was a promise — and they kept it every single time.
