About
As of 2026, it's 92 years old.
Sorry! arrived in the 1930s as a friendlier-faced relative of the ancient cross-and-circle game Pachisi, with one gloriously passive-aggressive twist: landing on an opponent sends their pawn all the way back to start while you cheerfully say 'Sorry!' — the least sincere apology in gaming.
The whole appeal is the betrayal. You're never really racing your own pawns home so much as gleefully bumping everyone else's back to the beginning, all under the thin veneer of politeness. It's a game that rewards pettiness and calls it good manners.
Cheerful, ruthless, and built on the world's most insincere apology, Sorry! is the board game where 'sorry' definitely does not mean sorry.
